Cancelling a quote is permission-based — so before you start:
If you're an admin but don’t have access, please contact the Layer team.
If you're an individual contributor, reach out to your Layer Admin for help.
You’ll only be able to cancel a quote if any of the following applies:
The quote does not require authorisation
You have the Quotation Authorise Override role
You’re part of the Authorise role group
The quote has already been approved
Step-by-Step: Cancel an Unsigned Quotation
Open the Quotation
Access the quote you'd like to cancel.Go to the ✏️ Edit Tab in the Quote Builder
Click into the Edit tab.Change the Status
In the Status field, select the appropriate cancellation status (e.g., Cancelled, Closed, etc.).Save Your Changes
After saving, you’ll be asked:Do you want to update the value of the associated opportunity?
