How do I reset my password?

Password Policy

Our password policy requires you to change your password every 45 days. Remember to update it regularly to keep your account secure and maintain compliance with our security standards.

1. Resetting Your Password While Logged In

  1. Access Your Dashboard:
    Log in to your account, then click your name in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Password Settings:
    On the page you are taken to, click on Password in the top bar.

  3. Update Your Password:

    • Enter your current password.

    • Input your new password.

    • Confirm the new password by typing it again in the appropriate box.

  4. Save Changes:
    Click Change Password to save your new password.

Note:

  • Passwords must be 8–16 characters long.

  • Include at least one special character from this set: ~!@#$%^&*.

2. Resetting Your Password If You Can't Log In

  1. Go to the Sign-In Page:
    Navigate to the login page of The Layer.

  2. Click on Password Recovery:
    Locate and click the Password Recovery link below the Sign In button.

  3. Enter Your Username:
    Type your username in the provided field and click Reset Password.

  4. Check Your Email:
    If a valid account exists, a password reset link will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

If you are still unable to log in, please contact your Layer Administrator.
