Shipping methods in The Layer allow you to define how products are shipped, including associated costs and tax settings. Here’s how to create and manage them effectively:

🔍 Accessing Shipping Methods

  1. Navigate to Settings > Shipping Methods.

  2. You’ll see a list of all current shipping methods, including details such as name, cost, tax rate, and status (enabled/disabled).

✏️ Editing an Existing Shipping Method

  1. From the list of shipping methods, click on the name of the method you wish to edit.

  2. Update any of the details as needed:

    • Name

    • Description

    • Cost

    • Tax Rate

    • Disabled (checkbox)

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

➕ Creating a New Shipping Method

  1. On the left-hand menu, click New Shipping Method.

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • Name: A clear identifier for the shipping method.

    • Description: Optional additional information about the method.

    • Cost: The charge for using this shipping method.

    • Tax Rate: Enter the tax percentage (e.g. 0% or 20%).

    • Disabled: Check this box if the method should not be available for selection.

  3. Click Save to add the new method.

✅ Tips

  • Disabled methods are indicated with a red cross icon in the list.

  • Duplicate method names may cause confusion - use clear, distinct naming conventions.

  • You can return to this page to enable/disable and edit methods as required.
