This report allows for reporting on differences between a quotation and sales order. It is not uncommon for a sales order to be changed and differ from what was originally signed for.

The Layer accommodates this by allowing sales orders to be edited. Common reasons for this are e.g. a customer has changed their mind, or it has been determined at a survey stage their premises cannot be serviced.

To get a view of such changes, you can use the Sales Order vs. Quotation & Turnover Variance Report. This is accessed from the Reports button on the global bar at the bottom of the screen.

The following information is shown:

Sales Order Date

The date the sales order was created

Quotation Date

The date of when the sales order was signed

Customer Name

The customer/company record name

Quotation Reference

The reference of the won quotation

Sales Order Reference

The reference of the associated sales order

Sales Order Status

The current status of the sales order

Quotation Turnover

The profit based on what was signed for in the quotation

Sales Order Turnover

The profit based on the items within the sales order

Turnover Variance (+/-)

If the sales order has changed the Layer will show the difference between both the sales order and quotation turnover.

Quotation Profit

The profit of the quotation based on what was signed for

Sales Order Profit

The profit of the sales order

Profit Variance (+/-)

If the sales order has changed the Layer will show the difference between both the sales order and quotation profit.
