When a sales order is converted, each service created from a quotation line carries the price increases agreed on that line. They stay with the service as a record of what the customer agreed and can be found by Automation Builder when they fall due.
This needs the Contracted Price Increases add-on. See Contracted Price Increases: overview and setup.
The Price Increases tab
Open the service from the customer's services. A service with agreed increases has a Price Increases tab listing each one:
From: the date the increase takes effect.
Increase: the amount the monthly price rises by.
Monthly price: the service's monthly price from that date.
Status: pending, applied or cancelled.
A service with no agreed increases has no tab. The tab is read only.
How the monthly price is worked out
Each increase is added to the service's own monthly price. If the price was changed on the sales order, the service still rises by the amount agreed on the quotation.
When a service is re-contracted
When an order updates an existing service, its pending increases are marked cancelled and the increases from the new quotation are added. The cancelled ones stay on the tab, so you can see what was agreed before. Increases already applied are not changed.
If the new quotation line has no increases, the pending ones are cancelled and none are added.
When a service is ceased
When an order ceases a service and creates a new one, the ceased service's pending increases are marked cancelled. The new service carries the increases from its own quotation line.
If the increases cannot be copied
The service is still created. The line for that service in the order conversion results ends with price increases NOT copied, see the log, or pending price increases NOT cancelled, see the log for a cease. Contact Layer Support with the order reference.
Good to know
This records the increases. It does not change the service's price or your billing when an increase falls due; apply the increase in the usual way.
Whether the customer opted out of the EECC pre-contract documents is recorded with the increases for reporting. It does not change them.
Services created by hand or by an asset import carry no increases.
