Future prices are printed by a Page Snippet, so you decide where they sit and how they are worded. The same snippet works in the quotation, Contract Summary and Contract Information templates.
This needs the Contracted Price Increases add-on, an apply date on the settings page, and increases on your products. See Contracted Price Increases: overview and setup.
Add the snippet
Go to Settings, Page Snippets.
Create a snippet with the binding type Quotation Items (Services), or edit the one your template already uses for services.
Add one of the layouts below. Both can also be copied from the Contracted Price Increases settings page.
Place the snippet in your quotation template.
Generate a test quotation with a product that has increases and check the result.
Layout 1: in the same row as the monthly price
Add a cell containing {item.PriceIncreasesText} to the row in your item loop. It prints one line for each future price, for example:
Increases to £59.75 on 6 April 2027
Increases to £64.75 on 6 April 2028
A line with no increases leaves the cell empty.
<tr>
<td class="item_l">{item.ProductName}</td>
<td class="item_r">{item.RecurringLineString}</td>
<td class="item_l">{item.PriceIncreasesText}</td>
</tr>Layout 2: a row beneath the line, in your own words
Add a child loop between the table rows of your item loop. It adds one row beneath the line for each future price, worded as you choose:
{loop:Data.Items(item)}
<tr>
<td class="item_l">{item.ProductName}</td>
<td class="item_r">{item.RecurringLineString}</td>
</tr>
{subloop:item.PriceIncreases(step)}
<tr><td class="item_r" colspan="2">Increases to {step.LinePriceString} on {step.DateString}</td></tr>
{/subloop}
{/loop}The {subloop} must sit between table rows, not inside a cell. Placed inside a cell it stops the snippet being produced. Set colspan to the number of columns in your table.
Fields for each future price
{step.LinePriceString}the price for the whole line after the increase, for example £119.50{step.UnitPriceString}the price for one after the increase{step.AmountString}the size of the increase, for one{step.DateString}the date, for example 6 April 2027{step.MonthYearString}the month and year, for example April 2027{step.StepNo}1 for the first increase, 2 for the second and so on
Wording and placement
Ofcom's guidance expects the new price itself in pounds and pence, with the date it applies, shown next to or directly below the monthly price. Stating only the size of the increase is not enough. Layout 1 and the sample wording in Layout 2 both show the new price and date.
You are responsible for the wording and placement and for checking they meet the rules that apply to your contracts.
Good to know
Future prices are worked out when the quotation document is generated, from the price quoted on each line. Regenerate a draft to pick up a change to a product's increases or the settings.
A signed quotation keeps the future prices it was signed with.
The future prices are shown whether or not the customer has opted out of the EECC pre-contract documents.
