Updated over 10 months ago

Have you ever scrolled through long case notes trying to remember what was agreed, who said what, or whether there’s a follow-up task buried somewhere?

With Ask AI, you don’t have to.

This feature lets you ask natural questions about your case notes, and get instant, intelligent answers powered by AI.

💬 What Is Ask AI?

Ask AI is your built-in assistant for interpreting case notes. It reads through all previous interactions in the activity feed — and gives you quick, focused insights in response to your questions.

🔍 Example Questions You Can Ask

  • 🛍️ “Identify any sales opportunities in the notes”

  • 😊 “What is the customer sentiment based on the notes?”

  • “Highlight any follow-up actions or tasks mentioned”

  • 🧠 “List recent interactions and main discussion topics”

You can also write your own custom questions in plain English — the AI will understand the context.

🛠️ How To Use It

  1. Go to any Case with notes or an active note field (available in all note-enabled areas).

  2. Click the Ask AI button just above the notes editor.

  3. Choose a predefined question or type your own.

  4. Get your answer in seconds — directly in the notes area.

⚙️ Where It’s Available

  • Opportunity Notes

  • Customer Notes

  • Anywhere that allows notes and has the “Ask AI” setting enabled

  • Use it before meetings or calls for a fast refresher

  • If a note is unclear, try rewording your question or breaking it down

🔐 Is My Data Safe?

Yes. The AI processes data securely within the Layer environment and never shares or stores sensitive information externally.
