Product manufacturers and price book import
Product Manufacturers should be created within the Layer prior to price books being imported.
Alternatively, if you have a permission to automatically update an inventory on import, the manufacturer and suppliers that do not already exist in the settings will be created automatically. This role is called Customer Inventory Import Auto-Normalise.
Adding a product manufacturer
Step 1
Go into Settings and scroll down to the section labelled ‘Inventory Configuration.’ From this section, select Product Manufacturers.
Step 2
On the left hand side of the screen, click Create, enter the Manufacturer’s name and click Save.
This manufacturer can now be accessed from the list of pre-existing manufacturers on the page.
Step 3
Click on the manufacturer you have just created and select Quick Filter Options from the top bar.
From the list that appears, select the product categories that the manufacturer makes.
You have now successfully added the manufacturer to your system.
