By default, all products in inventory will be subject to stock processes, such as reservations, allocations, and delivery.

However, you may wish to exclude some products from these processes. This may be useful if you have elected to add configuration and installation costs as products instead of services.

This can be done by checking the Suppress Reservation box against the item in inventory.

You can also amend this field when importing or updating stock via a stock import from csv file.

You won't be able to make any stock reservations for these items from a sales order. You'll also see the Suppress Reservation status on the sales order items grid.

Please note that this status cannot be toggled for items on a sales order once added. It is intended to only be changed at inventory level for products that will never go through the stock processes.

Also, when you use the Suppress Reservation feature, the stock item reservation is suppressed but still appears in the Purchase Order. However, you can delete the specific item when you create the Purchase Order.
