Sub-companies in The Layer can be used to manage and account for subsidiaries within your organisation.

Sub-companies can have their own company name, VAT registration number, bank details etc. You can also set unique output templates for each sub-company, with their own content and formatting.

A sub-company can be assigned at sales order level.

Creating and managing sub-companies

Sub-companies are configured from Settings - Sub Companies under the Customisations section.

You can click a sub-company name to edit its properties, or create a new sub-company from the left-side panel button.

Enter a name.

On the next screen, you can set default templates for credit notes, invoices and purchase orders.
