You can tag a user or team in a note by using the @ sign. Type @ then start to type the name of the user or team, then click or hit the return key.

Upon saving the note, the user or team will receive an email notification. The email subject will contain the note to which the record belongs - lead, customer, or case. The body will contain a link to the record.

The email will be sent via the mail agent associated with the user who wrote the note.

To check this for a user, go to Settings - Users - <User> - Communication. Here you can see the Default Agent (Email)

Replying to a tag

If you are tagged on an email, there are two main ways to follow up.

Follow the link

You can follow the link in the email to be taken to that record in The Layer.

Reply directly to the notification email

Replying directly to the notification email will cause your reply email to be added to the corresponding record in the form of a note. This includes any images in the reply.

Note that, for this to work, the feature must be enabled for the mail agent that is receiving the reply.

To do this, go to Settings - Mail Agents - <Mail Agent> and check the Exchange Notes Email Response box.
