Accessing the Setting

To access the Default Stack Customisation Mode, navigate to:

Settings > Company Setup > Defaults > Default Stack Customisation Mode

From here, administrators can choose how grid customisations are applied across the system.

🔧 Configuration Options

Within the new Default Stack Customisation area, you can now choose between two configuration modes that determine how grid settings are applied across similar workstacks:

1. Per Grid Type

  • Selecting Per Grid Type will apply the same grid customisation to all workstacks of the same type.

  • Example:
If you customise the grid layout for one Sales Order workstack, that same configuration will automatically apply to all Sales Order workstacks across the system.

  • This option ensures uniformity across similar workflows, making it ideal for teams that benefit from standardised layouts.

2. Per Grid

  • Selecting Per Grid retains the current behaviour, allowing each workstack of the same type to have its own independent grid customisation.

  • Example:
If you customise the grid for one Sales Order workstack, it will not affect any other Sales Order workstacks.

  • This option provides flexibility for users who require different views based on role, team, or purpose.

⚠️ Changing the Default Setting
When you update the Default Stack Customisation mode for a workstack type, all existing grid customisations for the selected workstack type will be removed upon save.
This ensures a clean transition to the new configuration setting.
